1) Don't use {! , . } these symbols while writing SI units.

2) Don't write the s letter last. For ex: 5km is correct 5Kms is wrong.

3) Don't write the second letter of the SI unit in big letter. Ex: Km is correct and KM is wrong.

4) Don't write the seconds as sec.

5) Some of the units are represented by the names of scientists. That time The full name of such units want to write in lower case. Ex: 1 Newton is correct and 1 Newton is wrong.

6) The symbol of the unit named after a scientist should always be written with capital letter. For ex: 5 n is wrong and 5N is correct.

7) Symbols for derived units formed by division are joined with a solidus (/), or given as a negative exponent. For example, "metre per second" can be written "m/s", "m s-1" or as "m· s-1". Only one solidus should be used; e.g., "kg/(m·s2)" but "kg/m/s2" is ambiguous and should not be used.

 8) Unit symbols are not followed by a period unless at the end of a sentence. proper:

The length of the bar is 75 cm.
The bar is 75 cm long.

improper:

The bar is 75 cm. long.

9) The combinations of letters "ppm," "ppb," and "ppt," and the terms part per million, part per billion, and part per trillion, and the like, are not used to express the values of quantities.

10)Values of quantities are expressed in acceptable units using Arabic numerals and symbols for units.

1)if the SI unit is named after the name of a scientist  , the name of the scientist should be written in small letter and the unit should be written in capital

2)we cannot alter the SI unit when it comes to plurals like we cannot write 10 cms instead of 10 cm

3)if a quantity have the same SI unit is dived by a quantity which has same SI unit will not have any unit

4)the SI unit should be internationally acceptable

5)if 2 quantities have 2 different units are divided the units should be separated by a slash '' / '' or an inverse symbol

6)if the quantities having different units cannot be added or subtracted

7)if the quantities have different units are multiplies the units should be written one after the other . example:-  Nm
