the secretions of the stomach are HCl, pepesin and mucus by the gland present in the wall of stomach.
HCl - it kills bacteria which comes along with the food. and makes the medium of food acidic.
pepsin - in the acidic medium it break down proteins into preptons.
mucus - it protects the lining of the stomach from the action of HCl
