Himalayas serves as a source to many perennial rivers as well as it serves as a shield. The cold winds coming from the north are stopped as it serves as a barrier and cold sets down there. It also serves as an important range having big mountain peaks like K2 And Everest. It also serves as a landscape and also divides China and India. Due to it India is protected from Severe cold.
