Members of Lok sabha are directly elected by the eligible voters whereas members of Rajya sabha are elected by the elected members of State Legislative Assembly. Lok sabha is a lower house whereas Rajya sabha is an upper house. The tenure of Lok sabha is of 5 years whereas Rajya sabha is a permanent house.
