what are the similarities between Oxygen and ozone?

Both are oxygen but O2 is diatoms of oxygen and Ozone is three atoms of oxygen. As we are very familiar to oxygen and this is our lifeline. But on the other hand ozone is very harmful to us. you can say ozone is poison to us. So ozone live on the outer layer of earth which prevents harmful ultraviolet rays from sun. But nowadays we find ozone layer is started depleting. A hole is found in Antartica. So we have to maintain the environment.....

Ozone is made up of three atoms of oxygen.
Both are naturally found in the atmosphere.
