What are the similarities between the colonial management of forests in bastar and java?

Both in Bastar and Java the traditional rights of the tribes who lived in the forest were taken away and they were forced by their colonial Government to work for them. There was a large scale of deforestation that took place in both regions and scientific forestry was implemented. Both the colonial government faced rebellion to their act.
