Eventhough Atoms and molecules are not the same still there exist some similarities.

Similarilties between atoms and molecules

• Atoms are the smallest basic unit of matter in the universe whereas molecules are made up of two or more number of atoms.
• In all the cases both atoms and molecules are neutral in nature that is they do not possess any charge.
• Many molecules are stable and some of the atoms are also stable. For example Helium.
• Many atoms react with eact other as well as with molecules in the same way molecule also do.
