Answer

The site of photosynthesis in green plants is chloroplasts present in the leaves. These chloroplasts consist of stroma, fluid and stack of thylakoids called grana. Chloroplasts consist of 3 pigments out of which chlorophyll is the most abundant and hence plays a major role in photosynthesis.
