Source of waste:-

Depending on the source of origin,waste are classified into following broad categories:

Domestic Waste

• These are the waste generated due to domestic activities .
• Some of the examples of domestic wastes are:-

Fruits,bits of paper,scrap metals,glass pieces,cotton,rags,batteries etc.

Industrial Waste

• There are small and large scale industries waste.
• These waste are are meterials that is rendered useless during or left over in manufacturing process.
• Some of the examples:-

a textile industry generates toxic wastes in forms of chemical .

fly ash,paints,paper products etc.

• Industries uses great amount of energy that produces waste gases like :-

Sulphur dioxide,nitrogen oxide etc....it causes health hazards because of their link with acid rain.

Agricultural Waste

• The wastes mainly include crops residual,husks and straws,wood waste ,sawdust,molasses ,tabacco waste,coconut waste,rubber waste,vegetable peels etc.
• These waste can be recycled .
• These waste are used for gobar gas.
• Agriculture waste do not cause any environment problems.
