then there is a cell known as placenta which helps in the transfer of nutrients between the mother and the child

Stages of development of zygote :
•after the formation of zygote it moves through the isthmus of the oviduct called cleavage towards the uterus and from 2,4,8,16 daughter cells called blastomers.
•the embryo with 8-16 blastomers is called a morula. The morula continues to divide and transform into blastocyst.
•the blastomers in the blstocyst are arranged into an outer layer called tropoblast and an inner group of cells called inner cell mass. Later this blastocyst becomesy Embedded in the endometrium of the uterus.
