Cattle usually show clinical symptoms of redwater around two weeks to three weeks after exposure to infected ticks. Symptoms are usually characterised by high fever (>40,5°C), light to dark red urine – hence the name – anaemia and sometimesjaundice, as well as depression and a lack ofappetite.
