       Below are the things taken into consideration regarding thermal energy in break design.  

  • When we press the break, frictional force is created and kinetic energy of the car will transform it into thermal energy.  
  • The heat generated from break can affect the performance of breaks and other car components.
  • If the rotor and the pad temperature of the break goes over 400 degree C, brakes fade sets in.
  • This reduces the break torque and considered as the material to absorb large heat.
