Answer:

A legend is a story that consists of a mixture of fantasy stuff and real stories. They are like myths but the difference is that behind a legend there is always something true, no matter how small or exagerrated it is. some legends are historical tales about people from so long ago that we can’t possibly know if they are true or not. Others are brand new and those are called “city legends”, most of them are just nonsense. So if the story has some truth behind it (some of the characters are real life figures or some parts of the tale were proven to be real) and it also has fantasy element in it, then this is a legend. If there is no truth behind the tale or no way to determine whether the facts in it are true or not, then it’s a myth. For example, the Trojan war is a legend, since it’s characters were proven to exist historical figures, but the time of their existing was mest up and the god drama was the fantasy element.
