What are the three demerits of a non-democratic country?

When democracy is overthrown, all freedoms are taken away and the following features are seen in a non-democratic country.

(a) Absence of Rights and Liberty: ln 3 nondemocratic country, people are not given political rights and liberty Their opinion are not given due importance or rather not tolerated.

(b) Government based on force : in a nondemocratic country the government is not based on the consent of the people. Force and imposition of will of a dictator. Public is bound to followthe rules of a dictator; unwillingly.

(c) Censorship : When democracy is overthrown in a country the mass media and press is completely banned. There Is no freedom of speech. People are not moreover, allowed to express their views freely. Moreover, they do not have a political choice to change the government even if the latter is presently against the interest of the people.

Merits of democracy:-1)A democratic government is a better government because it is more accountable form of government
2) Democracy improves the quality of decision making
3) Democracy is better than other form of government as it allows rulers to correct its own mistake

Demerits:-1)Leader keep changing in a democracy.This lead to instability.
2)Elected leaders do not know the best interests of the people.It leads to bad decision making.
3) Democracy is all about political competition and power play .These is no scope for morality.
