Body wall of Porifera:-

  • Outer Pinacoderm
  • Inner Choanoderm
  • Middle mesenchyme

Outer Pinacoderm:

▪ Consists of Pinacocytes (Flat Cells) and porocytes (oval cells)

Middle Mesenchyme:

▪ Between the two layers of the body wall, a gelatinous material known as mesenchyme is present which contains amoebocytes cells like scleroblasts, archeoblasts.
