The three things to form a shadow are:


I)A source of light.


II)An opaque object to block the light.


III)A surface behind the object to make the light fall on it.


An opaque object objects or blocks the light falling on it.


This leads to darkness on the side of the object.


This area of darkness is known as Shadow.
