Book panting :
The paintings founds in different books are called book painting.Book panting is the oldest painting among the Nepalese Paintings. The book painting made in the 10th century. Tadpatra (palm leaf ),
bhojpatra (bark of a tree), Tamrapatra ( copper plate),etc were used for writing the scripts on. 'pancharaksha Grantha' is kept in the Bhaktapur painting Museum. The book painting is to 12-18 inches long and 3-4 inches wide. Some examples of book painting Niswastantra ,pancharaksha Grantha, panchatara,etc.
Scroll painting :
Scroll painting are drawn on cloth . The size of scroll painting is bigger than book painting. A scroll painting is full of various artists designs containing natural scenes and things like flowers, vines, rivers,hills, clouds, animals etc.It is also shown in the occasion of Gaijatra to krishnajanmasthami. Various Nepali Scroll paintings have been collected in the museum of Nepal. some examples of scroll painting Mandala,Pata,Bhim Rathaarohan ,etc.
Wall painting:
The painting made on walls of building , houses,temples, monasteries,etc are called wall painting. It is a general practice of Nepal to draw pictures symbols of different god's, goddess and animals on the walls or hang such paintings on the walls. Now,wall painting have been popular in today's world. Some examples of Wall painting Mithila Chitrakala, A pictures of king ridding an elephant is made on inner side of the door.
