There are 3 zones of Biosphere Reserve:
1. Core Zone:- This zone lies in the centre where humans are not allowed to do anything.
2. TheBuffer zone:- In this type of zone,human activity is allowed but is limited.
3. Manipulating zone:- It is Also known as transition zone. In this type of zones human activites would go on in large numbers.
Important Information:-
408 Biosphere reserves are located in 94 countries out of which 14 sites are present in India. In India 14 sites have been identified as potential biosphere reserves together.
