  • When barium chloride combines with sodium sulphate in the form of their aqueous solutions, a white precipitate of barium sulphate is formed which is insoluble in water.
  • On adding a drop of barium chloride solution to an aqueous solution of sodium sulphite, white precipitate is obtained.
  • It is one of the most common water-soluble salts of barium.
  • The complete chemical equation can be written to describe what happens, and such an equation is useful in making chemical calculations.
  • Since Barium chloride is a soluble substance thus, white precipitate disappears.
