Here we go,

The two components of lichens are fungi and algae.

Lichens grow in clean and cooler climatic condition.

Lichens shows symbiosis.

As fungi have root like structure so it transport water and mineral from the soil to the algae . Algae is a green colour organism which has chlorophyll in it and so it make food in the presence of sunlight and chlorophyll . And the food made is shared between fungi and algae.
