In truth this is not just two forces. Gravity is actually a very large number of forces acting on every atom of the object. We simply assume all these forces can be summed up into one force acting at center of gravity of the object. Buoyancy is actually pressure difference between top and bottom, which we again average out to be a single force acting on object.
There is a third force acting on object which would be a summation of all the pressure acting horizontally on the object. This could be summed into one force but not normally done.
