The two forms of oxygen found in the atmosphere are: (i) Elemental oxygenis normally found in the form of diatomic molecule (O2) in the lower part of atmosphere. It is about 21% in the air and non-poisonous. (ii) Ozone is found in the stratophere part ofatmosphere. It contains three atoms ofoxygen (O3).

O2 - many organisms need this form of oxygen to breathe.

O3- this form of oxygen is in the ozone layer. It protects humans especially from UV rays.
