The followings are the 2 kinds of compound type of leaves -

1. Pinnately compound leaves.

In this type of leaf, rachis is present which is formed by the mid rib. This rachis consists many leaflets in it. Example : Neem.

2. Plamately compound leaves.

In this type of leaf, we can see leaflets which are attached at a common point, that is, on the petiole's tip part. Example : Silk cotton.
