There are two types of joints immovable and movable.
Joints which enables free movement is called movable joint. The movement is possible due to the presence of synovial fluid between the joints which act like a lubricant.
Eg- Hinge joint, ball and socket joint.
The joint which do not allow the movement of the body part is called Immovable joints.
Eg- Joints in the skull.
