Lichens is of three types:-
1. Fruticose lichen
2. Crustose lichen
3. Foliose lichen
Some points on fruticose lichen are as follows:-
A. They are found in cylindrical shape.
B. They will be branched.
C. Attachment of basal mucilagenous disc with the substratum is seen.
Some points on crustose lichen are as follows:-
A. Most of the lichen in this category are flat.
B. Substratum in them will be closed to the thallus.
C. Closeness of thallus & substratum in them gives crust like apperance.
Some points on foliose lichen are as follows:-
A. Lobed and leaf like structure is seen in them.
B. Rhizoid helps in attachment of substratum.
C. In thallus hairs are grown in ventral side.
