Since the magnification produced is positive , it means that both the image and the object are on the same side and hence the mirror in concave mirror and since magnification is greater than 1 hence the object is kept between center of curvature and focus.

The magnification produced by a plane mirror is +1 means that the image formed is virtual, erect and of the same size as that of object.

The mirror must be a spherical mirror (concave mirror) as the magnification in plane mirror is never -1 but always 1. Also convex mirror always produces images smaller than the size of the object so it's magnification is always less than 1.
