what are the various farming and non farming activities in Palampur village

25% of the people working in Palampur are engaged in activities other than agri culture. dairy work is one of the most common activity in Palampur . people feed their buffaloes on various kinds of grass and the jowar and bajra that grows during the rainy season . the milk is sold in Raiganj and shahpur the two bigger Market near their village. the big businessman transport milk to far away towns and cities. the remaining 75% people of Palampur are engaged in the farming activities. the small farmers work under the big farmers to earn their livelihood. the rich farmers appoint these small farmers to work on their land with some particular wages and sometimes kind(some dresses food or something else which is necessary ). the minimum wage is 115 rupees/day of a farmer which is being decided by the government in April 2011. some peoples in eager to get job demand less than the minimum wage per day. other rich people in Palampur want to expand their businesses in the form of transportation Dairy production etc...
