There are two types of modes of nutrition in plants. They are:
1) Autotrophic:- make their own food by photosynthesis
e.g. :- mainly all green plance like rice wheat mango neem etc but exception are also present
2) Heterotrophic:- depends on other for their nutrition it is divided into different types
e.g. :- mushroom, pitcher plant etc.
here I want to give some information about Pitcher plant they are green but they are known as heterotrophs as they are Green they do photosynthesis but only by photosynthesis their need cannot be fulfilled as they grow on the area where there is lack of Nitrogen so to fulfill their lack of Nitrogen they feed on insects
