The three type of muscular tissue along with their functions are :
• Voluntary Muscle Fibres -
I) They are voluntary in their activity. They bring about movements according to the will of an organism.
II) Locomotory movements are brought about by these muscles.
III) Tongue movements are also brought about by these muscles.
• Visceral muscle Fibres -
I) They are voluntary and are not under the control of will power.
II) Peristaltic (wave like) contractions in the alimentary canal are brought about by these muscles. These contractions push the food ball in the alimentary canal.
III) In some organs, these muscles contract throughout the organ to produce extrusive movements, such as in the urinary bladder, gall bladder and the uterus.
• Cardiac Muscle Fibres -
I) The pulsating movements and rythmicity of heart are controlled by this massage.
II) They never undergo fatigue.
Hope it helps.
