Tidal forests are forests that grow in the delta regions of
Ganga ,Godavari,Mahanadhi,Krishna ,Kaveri.

The trees grown in these regions have stilt like roots which support the plants during high tide.

These forests grow in saline water.


 Two typical trees found here are Sundri and Hintal.

tidal forest they are another type of vegetation found in delta region /west bengal .the tree here are grown with help of tides the two typical trees are mangrove and sundari
