Most of the aquatic animals including protozoans, crustaceans, platyhelminths, cnidarians, poriferans, echinoderms, fishes, larvae / tadpoles of amphibians are ammonotelic. A ureotelic organism excretes excess nitrogen as urea.

"Ureotelic animals are those animals which excrete urea as nitrogenous waste. Among the given examples, Man is  a ureotelic.

Mammals modify or turn  ammonia into urea and excrete it as a dissolved product in water as urine.

This is an evolutionary adaptation to preserve water by them as they do not live in an amphibious environment.

Urea is comparatively less toxic and is still soluble in water.
