the kidney composes of the nephron, which is the basic functional unit of a kidney. The nephron is made up of the malpighian corpuscle and the renal tubule. The malpighian corpuscle is made up of the cup-shaped structure called the bowman's capsule and the network of blood capillaries. The capsule encloses the glomerulus which is a network of blood capillaries. The Bowman's capsule leads to a tube known as the renal tubule. The first part of the renal tubule is highly coiled and forms the proximal convoluted tubule. It is followed by a U-shaped tubule called the Loop of Henle , which leads into another coiled tube called distal convoluted tubule, which drains the contents of all nephrons into the collecting duct. The collecting duct drains its contents and is now called urine, into the pelvis of the kidney then to the ureter and finally to the urinary bladder, where it is temporarily stored before it is eliminated. The underlined points are the main ones, and I've attached an image to help you figure it out.
