scaler quantities are representated by magnitude only eg:distance
vector quantities are representated by magnitude as well as direction eg:displacement

Scaler Quantity : Scalar quantity is that quantity which has only magnitude and no other characteristics . For example : Distance. Distance is the scalar quantity because when we talk about distance we does not mention any direction.

Vector Quantity : Vector quantities that quantity which have both magnitude as well as the direction . For example : Displacement. Displacement is the vector quantity because when we talk about displacement we also mention the direction along with the magnitude .
