the reaction between zinc & hydrochloric acid is :-

Zn + HCl > H2 + ZnCl2

Its is a single replacement reaction where Zn metal displaces the Hydrogen to form H2 gas & Zinc chloride as a salt.

Zinc reacts quickly with the acids to form bubbles of Hydrogen.
