On November 1, 1858, a grand Darbar was held at Allahabad. Here Lord Canning sent forth the royal proclamation which announced that the queen had assumed the government of India. This proclamation declared the future policy of the British Rule in India.Oct 17, 2011

The Queen's proclamation resulted in the following changes according to your question :

⇒ The British rulers declared emphatically their policy of non-interference in the religious affairs , customs and traditions of the Indians

⇒ The age for the appointment to public offices was increased for the betterment of Indians . Now the Indians had a higher chance of getting jobs.

Hope it helps :-)
