. In 1025 - 1026 AD Ghaznavi carried out his last expedition which resulted in the famous battle of Somnath. He started from Ghazni and came through Multan. He then passed through Ajmer and Anhilwara defeating the Raja of Gujrat. Battle of Somnath was fought near the temple of Somnath.
