The oceans, seas and most important the atmosphere act as the heat store house for the Earth.  May be the answer you want is the atmosphere.

The water in oceans and seas are heated during the day and that heat is transferred to the atmosphere during the night. Same is the case with the atmosphere on the land. The heat is absorbed by the atmosphere and the land cools.
