Sangolli Rayanna was born on 15 August 1798.He was a prominent warrior from Karnataka, India. He was the army chief of the kingdom of kittur ruled at the time by Rani Chennamma and fought against British East India Company till his death. He was died of 26 January 1831.His life was the subject on the 2012 kannada film SANGOLLI RAYANNA.
