The surname Prasad (or any other surname for that matter) does not belong to any one caste. Even though casteists try to associate their surnames with a preferred caste, surnames do not have to be caste based. You can have any surname and change it any time. I purposely used the word casteist because casteists are people who are proud of the caste they foolishly believe they belong to

It's people with sick minds (as in mental illness) who associate surnames with castes. These castes will always be seen as, what casteists term, ‘low’ or ‘high’ castes.

The evil caste system is the LONGEST SURVIVING SINISTER SYSTEM OF SOCIAL CONTROL IN HISTORY. Even today most of the global population, including scholars are unaware of this anti-humanitarian stealth system of inequality and have failed to recognize it as such.

However, in India, this system of control, that Dr B R Ambedkar called 'the system of graded degradation' is to this day the most dominant deciding factor in shaping peoples' lives.

It is the root cause of social turmoil in Indian society leading to an unjust society, a society rampant with crime where bribery has become a part of culture. It is the root cause of atrocities committed on minorities. It is the root cause of injustice in Indian society. Caste is anti national and a blockage to equality, liberty, fraternity and justice, the ideals etched in the preamble of the Indian constitution.

A belief in the notion of caste SERVES NO USEFUL PURPOSE WHATSOEVER IN MODERN SOCIETY AND THEREFORE MUST BE ANNIHILATED if India is to survive as a progressive nation.

A belief that you belong to a caste is merely a belief. Casteism is a mental phenomena, a mental disease. Castes don't ACTUALLY exist. Only the CONCEPT OF CASTE exists and this concept must be buried for good. Associating your surname with caste is propagation of caste.

A belief that you have, or belong to a caste ONLY benefits the dominant classes. Your ancestors were MADE TO BELIEVE THAT THEY BELONGED TO OR HAD A CASTE.

If you have any love for your nation, a question YOU MUST ask those who profess to have a caste identity (and keep asking that question until caste is annihilated) IS :

Do YOU know of ANY benefits in modern society of belonging to a caste ?

(THIS QUESTION IS THE STARTING POINT OF ANNIHILATION OF CASTE)

If the answer is NO, how foolish is it for you yourself to associate your surname with a caste. You must sever ALL ties, especially the emotional ties, with the caste that you were made to believe you belong to.

WHY DID THE NEED TO ASK THE ORIGINAL QUESTION ARISE IN THE FIRST PLACE? ARE YOU A CASTEIST ?

IF YOU ARE INTERESTED IN THE ANNIHILATION OF CASTE, YOU MUST FIRST READ, DIGEST AND THEN PROPAGATE THE CORRECT UNDERSTANDING OF:

A) Caste as described above and in the links at the end of this answer

B) Hindu, Hindustan & Hinduism

What is, in detail, the Hindu religion?

C) Understanding of the word DALIT

What is the exact meaning of hindi word, "Dalit"?

Was President KR Narayana denied entry in to a temple for being a Dalit?

When will another Dalit leader like Dr. B.R. Ambedkar rise?

THEN YOU MUST COMPLETELY SHED YOUR CASTE IDENTITY AND DISASSOCIATE YOUR SELF EMOTIONALLY FROM THE CASTE THAT YOU WERE MADE TO BELIEVE YOU BELONGED TO.

You will not become identity-less. You have other identities such as religious identity, national, regional and local identitis, tribal identity etc.
