What causes acidity of stomach

excess of hydrochloric acid in the stomach causes acidity

Acid release in our stomach is of daily period is of breakfast, lunch and dinner which person eats day to day base but when food does not enter in normal timings but acid release in normal timetable and less food is there in stomach and amount of acid release is high then it causes acidity.
