What causes eyes to produce tears? Why are tears saline? How are tears useful to eyes?

Blocked tear ducts are the reason why eyes produce tears .
When we blink, the tears lubricate, nourish and protect the front of the eyes.

lachrymal glands are responsible for tears
tears are salin because they are nitrogenous waste of eyes
it help to clean up the eye
