First, it is necessary to understand how breeze occurs :
the phenomenon is uneven heating of earth
when Earth is heated it causes the air near the surface to rise up this causes a low pressure area .. the air from surrounding high pressure area rushes to fill the low pressure area which causes breeze to blow ...
the breeze that is gentle and strong depends on the following factors:
1. the amount of heating of earth
if the earth is heated more than the surrounding i.e. if the difference in heating is more then the breeze will be strong otherwise it will be gentle..
2. the amount of air present
the amount of air present in a area will determine the amount of breeze
suppose a area has less air and it is heated then more air will rise up causing a strong low pressure area thus strong breeze whereas if the air is more then relatively less air will rise up is same amount of heat is given and thus it will cause a gentle breeze.
3. heat provided
if greater heat is provided then strong breeze and if low heat is there then gentle breeze..
