Hi , there !!

when the earth wire touches the live wire it result in short circuiting.

short circuit of occurred when live wire touch the Earth while taking the earthing from Earth surface .


the device which is used to save appliances from damage due to short circuiting is fuse :-

fuse :- fuse is an electric device when the high voltage current is passed through the fuse it break down and it break the circuit.
resulting in not flow the current from it.
through this huge safe the appliances from damage due to short circuiting.

WHEN LIVE WIRE AND NEUTRAL WIRE COME IN DIRECT CONTACT WITH EACH OTHER, THIS INCIDENT IS CALLED SHORTCIRCUIT. ELECTRIC FUSE IS THE DEVICE USED TO PROTECT THE APPLIANCE FROM SHORT CIRCUITING.
