Bubbles are formed when trapped air is trying to release itself and move outwards. This action of adding water pushes the air into the soil. That's why we can see bubbles rasing when we add water to dry soil.

The air present in between the dry soil particles causes the bubbles to rise.

Explanation:

  • Usually, soil is available in the form of peds, which is nothing but clumps like arrangement of soil particles.
  • When we mix dry soil with water and stir it vigorously, it may be observed that bubbles are arising.
  • It is because, due to stirring, air present in between the soil particles gets release and interacts with water.
  • This interaction acts as the cause for bubble formation when it is mixed with water and stirred.
