what change has been made in the composition of detergents to make them biodegradable?

Long chain hydrocarbon compounds are bio degradable and using them in the manufacturing of detergents will make the detergents bio degradable.

Other than that there are some other components which can be used such as Toulene Lauryl Sulphate (TLS), Sodium Lauryl Sulphate (SLS) or some aligned compounds can also be used.
