Britishers took many changes in Indian education system. The highest change was that to introduce western point of view in education.

They replaced the native languages by English.

Gurukul and temple educational system was replaced by school to University level. They tried to show backward to Indian study material like Vedas, epic books etc.

They tried to show everything in such a manner that Indian are equall to animals and if they want to improve in self then they have to study western education.

British Missionaries tried to convert indian into christian. Missionaries played a major role in spreading of western education all over the world.

Indian education system was reformed by wood's dispatch law that called the magnakarta if India education .

I hope it helps you.

......... Thanks you.........
