increase in altitude

  • atmospheric pressure reduces
  • temperature reduces

altitude is the height above the sea level, as one moves higher means there is increase in the height. atmospheric pressure increases with increase in altitude

atmospheric pressure relies on the eight of the air column exerted on the ground. a you climb higher, the volume reduces hence atmospheric pressure reduces

there is reduction in temperature as the altitude increases, the higher you go the cooler it becomes. as warm air rises, it expands hence there is increase in volume leading to reduction in temperatures

pressure decreases with increasing altitude. The pressure at any level in the atmosphere may be interpreted as the total weight of the air above a unit area at any elevation. At higher elevations, there are fewer air molecules above a given surface than a similar surface at lower levels.
