What comes first a day, or a night?

Night comes first day comes next.

Night comes first.
We usually calculate timing for a day by 24 hours and the first hour starts in midnight.
Then it is believed that our earth is created by big bang in the dark universe.
These are the reasons behind saying night comes first.
