Given Sequence :    18    36    72     132     222   ?

Now, 1st term, (18 + 4) x 3  =  72 , 3rd Term
          2nd term, (36 + 2 x 4 ) x 3 = 132, 4th Term
          3rd term, (72 + 3 x 4) x 3 = 252, 5th Term ( mistake in the Question )
          4th term, (132 + 4 x 4) x 3 = 444, 6th Term Answer

    so 444 is the Answer

Answer:

The next term is 348.

Step-by-step explanation:

Here, the given series,

18, 36, 72, 132, 222,........

The first sequence after taking the difference of the consecutive terms of series,

(36-18), (72-36), (132-72), (222-132),....

18, 36, 60, 90,.....

Now, The second sequence after taking the difference of the consecutive terms of the above series,

(36-18), (60-36), (90-60),....

18, 24, 30,..

Which is an A.P. having common difference 6,

Its next term of this sequence is 36,

⇒ The next term of second sequence = 126,

The next term in first sequence = 348.
