The wind in the poem refers as the hardships or troubles of life because it destroys the weak people who are not at all strong mentally. A strong wind winnows the strong people from the weak ones just like a winnowing machine which is used to winnow grain out of the chaff.to be friends with the difficulties in life we should be strong and have the capability to face such types of problems.

Answer:In this poem , the power of wind has been described and he says that wind is destructive. We all know that wind is a natural phenomenon.

The poet has linked the destructive power of wind to the adversities of life. He says that weak people break down in adverse situations whereas strong people emerge stronger.

The poet gives an important message that we should be mentally tough and physically strong in order to survive the hardships of life. A weak person breaks down like a weak fire extinguishes in the wind. We must make these destructive forces our friends, with our strength and determination.
